Congratulations to the Eadestown Senior Ladies LGFA Team and Manager Brian Willis who were crowned Kildare County Champions on Friday 24th September in Hawkfield when they overcame Newbridge Sarsfields with a convincing win on a final score of 1-11 to 0-4. They have made history by winning three-in-a-row Senior County Titles and lifted the Burke Cup to great celebrations among their many supporters and the whole community.
We were honoured to welcome our past pupils, team captain Rose Mernagh and player Grace Clifford, back to visit us in Rathmore N.S. on Tuesday, 9th November with the Burke Cup on display. It was a very exciting and positive event and the children giving them a huge welcome when they visited all classes in the school. They were delighted with the warm reception they received from the children who made posters, waved flags and dressed in their Eadestown GAA colours. The team now go on to meet Portlaoise in the Leinster Club Quarter Final on Sunday16th October and we send them our best wishes and support for continued success. Eadestown Abú!
