RENEWING THE FLAG 2024
Rathmore N.S. were awarded their first Active School Flag in 2016 and their second in 2022. Our flag will expire in June 2025 so the renewal process is now well and truly up and running. The teachers at Rathmore NS are committed to continuing this positive trend.
We will use the flag renewal process to reflect on what has been working well for us as an Active School and to determine if we can incorporate improvements into some areas. Taking on extra challenges throughout the year will not only help meet the criteria but also keep the enthusiasm for physical activity alive in the school community.
Our Active School slogan, “Get off your chair and get some air,” is catchy and perfectly encapsulates the spirit of encouraging movement and outdoor activity. Like we did in 2020-2021, we will include both pupils and parent voice through surveys, ensuring that everyone’s opinions are heard, which is essential for fostering a supportive and active environment. All encouragement is welcome as we work towards our 3rd Active School Flag.

We are delighted to be working towards renewing our Active Flag in Rathmore N.S. in 2020/2021/2022. Our Active Flag committee is combined with the staff and pupils who work hard on all initiatives together.
