Today, Vourneen Hennessy from Naas Tidy Towns and Gerry Foley from Naas Wild food festival visited 4th class to discuss many interesting topics including the valuable work the Tidy Towns committee do as well as bee pollination and biodiversity. The talk was interesting and informative. The students got to see all the fantastic awards Naas tidy Towns have won.
They also got to see a real beehive and learn about how honey is made. To top it all off, several brave children sampled some wild foods- buffalo worms and dried crickets.
