Creative Schools Week Update
For Creative Schools week Ms Shaw’s class made some fantastic pyramids. Check out this video to see how they got on.
Creative School Update
Mrs. Malone’s 5th Class had the phenomenal idea of hosting an ‘Outdoor Gallery’ to display their art and design work, experiments, baking, games, music and creative ideas. The classes that visited the gallery were blown away by the amazing, talented and cool work that they did. What an achievement!
Ms. Roe’s class thoroughly enjoyed an online Irish storytelling session and Mr. Cronin’s class were planting in the school garden this week as well.
Mr Bolton’s class created some wonderful masks, enjoyed a week at the optician, created some lovely creative play time activities and planted some runner beans, carrots, lettuce and beetroot.
Our Senior corridor marked Creative Schools Week with a brilliant display designed Ms. O’Sullivan.
Creative School Week Update
Our Creative Schools week is causing great excitement throughout the school. Mr. Cronin’s class are taking part in a guided meditation and completing a cool science experiment. The class investigated whether mixing a solid in warm water is the same as mixing a solid in cold water. 3rd Class used seasoning, sugar and gravy as the solvents.
Take a look at Senior Infants’ and 1st Class’ song and dance, you might recognise them!

Active School Week 2021
All classes in Rathmore N.S. took part in Active Schools Week with an emphasis on encouraging the children to increase their daily physical activity to support their wellbeing. We successfully ‘Powerwalked to Paris’ and made great progress each day as we combined the laps of the school track completed by every class!
‘Active Homework’ was given through t the week and enjoyed by all.
On Thursday we be had a ‘Jersey Day’ and the children came to school wearing their favourite sports jersey. All classes completed a socially distanced whole school walk around the school. It was a great day for everyone involved.
A very special thanks to Mrs Malone and Ms Shaw for all of their hard work and help throughout the week. It is hugely appreciated by all the children, parents and staff.
