Valleymount Cross Country
On Wednesday 18th October forty-eight Rathmore N.S. Cross Country runners ventured to Valleymount N.S. for the 17th Annual West Wicklow Cumann na mBunscoil Cross Country. This annual event is hosted by Ms. Nora Kelly and her staff in the local primary school along with many local volunteers. We were fortunate to have a dry day and a safe course after the passing of Storm Ophelia.
We had twelve teams of boys and girls who qualified in previous weeks from their class runs.
All our teams competed very well and won individual and team medals.
This would not have been possible without the help of the many parents who provided transport, supervision of teams and support on the day. Also thank you to Ms. Malone who collated all the results for our teams on the day.
The next cross country event will take place in Hawkfield in the spring.
School Re-opens WED 18th
School will re-open as normal on Wednesday 18th October.
Cross-country WILL go ahead in Valleymount, so please ensure children involved have their kit with them.
