Love is in the air….and so the students of Rathmore NS put their engineering and creativity skills to work. With LEGO as the chosen material, pupils were given a challenge to build a LEGO heart. They had to make it symmetrical and it had to be able to stand on its own. Great work was done by students in a variety of classes throughout the school. Here are some quotes from Ms. Doyle’s 1st class about the task: ‘It was hard and took a long time to make our heart. It was good fun to make it with a friend. We are very proud of our work and that we didn’t give up when our first heart broke’ by Jamie & Zach. Grace said, ‘I liked spending the time on teamwork’. Grace’s partner, Áine added, ‘It was hard to make the heart shape but we didn’t give up and we succeeded. Jake and Mikie explained that they ‘put a LEGO person inside our heart, that was hard to do!’
