Gymnastics
Our pupils have been thoroughly enjoying their Gymnastics Programme with Seán from
Sport in School, which began on 7th September. The six-week block is currently being
attended by Senior Infants, First Class, Third Class, Third/Fourth Class and Fourth
Class.

Each week, the children can develop a range of fundamental movement skills through
exciting and engaging gymnastics activities. From balancing and rolling to climbing,
jumping and working on the rings, pupils are building their strength, coordination,
flexibility and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

The sessions have been a huge success, with children eagerly looking forward to their
gymnastics lessons each week. The variety of equipment and activities provides
opportunities for all pupils to challenge themselves, learn new skills and experience the
enjoyment of being active.
When this current block concludes, a second six-week programme will commence on
17th October, giving the remaining classes in the school the opportunity to take part
and benefit from this excellent programme.
We look forward to seeing more pupils developing their gymnastics skills and enjoying
active learning in the months ahead
