Maths Week 2022
We had a lots of fun exploring Maths Week this year. The children took part in coding, estimation competitions, poster competitions, colouring competitions, maths trails and a maths quiz to end the week. They also had a go at guessing how long it would take Paul, our caretaker to run the track. It was a great week enjoyed by all and well done to all the teaches and children for taking part.
Bobby’s Bananarama
We had a fantastic Bobby’s Bananarama Event in the school this morning and even the sun shined down as the children, teachers, staff and special guests joined in the Superhero Hallowe’en Walk around the school followed by an Assembly in the school PE Hall. The children performed two songs in support of Bobby as he gets ready to go to America for his operation in January and they sounded amazing! Special thanks to Mr. Bolton for co-ordinating today’s event, to teachers Ms. Swanton and Ms. Gleeson who played on guitar and keyboard and to 5th class pupil Mark Byrne who also accompanied on his guitar. The Hall was beautifully decorated with a special Banner designed by our SNA Nora Lawler.
A big thank you to everybody who donated to the event. We are delighted to report that a total of €1,217.10 has been raised today.
Well done to all involved and wishing you all a very Happy Hallowe’en and enjoyable Mid-Term break.
Kind regards

Congratulations to the Eadestown Senior Ladies LGFA Team and Manager Brian Willis who were crowned Kildare County Champions on Friday 24th September in Hawkfield when they overcame Newbridge Sarsfields with a convincing win on a final score of 1-11 to 0-4. They have made history by winning three-in-a-row Senior County Titles and lifted the Burke Cup to great celebrations among their many supporters and the whole community.
We were honoured to welcome our past pupils, team captain Rose Mernagh and player Grace Clifford, back to visit us in Rathmore N.S. on Tuesday, 9th November with the Burke Cup on display. It was a very exciting and positive event and the children giving them a huge welcome when they visited all classes in the school.
