Garda Vetting

We are always looking for parents to help with various in-school and extra-curricular activities, under the supervision of class teachers/support teachers/principal.

This can range from classroom help to:

  • swimming supervision
  • school tour supervision
  • classroom involvement
  • library volunteer
  • garden volunteer
  • helping out on sports day
  • lifts to matches/cross country etc.

Under Child Protection Guidelines it is a requirement that all parents helping out in-school are Garda-Vetted. The process is confidential and once the initial application is submitted by the school, the process is online for the applicant. (This must be completed within a specific timeframe).

Once submitted by the school, parents will then receive an email with an online application form to complete. Please note that this ONLINE vetting form is only issued to the applicant – the school does not have access to these forms.  Please note that if you do not reply to the link supplied, it will then become invalid and you will have to start the process all over again.

If you are interested in providing help in the school, please download the New Garda Vetting Form Here, complete this form, and return it to the school principal or secretary with the required form(s) of ID. (A minimum of 100 points of ID are required – see Download ID Requirements Here).

If you have any difficulty downloading these forms, they are available in the school foyer.
